WINTER 2009. Effective this coming December - there will be a new pricing schedule for web-design work. It pretty much boils down to a one-third increase across-the-board. The very nature of work on the web has (and continues) to change. Where it was once acceptable to simply "put a site together" - nice graphics and decent content - the entire tune of the web has become much (much!) more sophisticated and demanding. It simply requires more time and effort to reach the levels of utility most site owners require. It's a growing and ever-increasingly competitive arena. I don't like the idea of leaving a client short. And, I don't like the idea of cutting myself short for the work I do. The price increase allows me to do the very best I can for clients without regrets. It simply makes sense. I have always favored a "set-price option" when it comes to this type of work, and I hope to continue with that practice. The days of piecemeal websites are coming to an end. In all reality, we're either in the game or we are not. It's a sign of the times. Or, it's simply a matter that the web itself is growing up. Appreciative of your understanding. As always - do feel welcomed to inquire if there are any particular questions regarding how these changes may effect your future web work.
The new price schedule have been incorporated into the online project calculator. |
